Sarah “Samohsai“ Mohand-Saïd, is an illustrator and comic artist based in Ottawa, Ontario.
Her artworks draw inspiration from her Amazigh heritage which she likes to explore through the fantasy genre. She is passionate about all things Amazigh and North African, particularly relating to mythology, traditions, esoterism and history.
She is the illustrator and author of the ongoing Webcominc titled Anzar and Tiziri – an original reimagining of the myth ofThislit n Anzar, exploring various aspects of Amazigh mythology, its pantheon and rich stories.
She hopes her artwork and stories can bring awareness to the beauty and diversity of her indigenous North-African background, while showcasing empowering and diverse representation.
